Head of Design (full-time position)

ella&il is experiencing rapid growth and are expanding into many new and exciting categories. Consequently, ella&il is looking to strengthen their design team and are now looking for Head of Design. As Head of Design you will be able to take part of a very exciting journey for the brand going forward.

Tasks:

  • Set the creative direction for the brand
  • Secure that the designs support the brands vision and ensuring that price points are met
  • Identify and source new fabric needs and patterns that are meaningful to the assortment
  • Making sure that tech packs, measurement charts and all sketches are in place and are accurate
  • Communication towards all suppliers regarding protos, sms, shipments samples and bulk
  • Working in line with the internal sustainability strategy for the brand and making sure all suppliers perform mandatory audits and are in line with the code of conduct
  • Create yearly timeline for the design team and ensure that all designs are finished within the timeline set
  • Communicating regularly with all suppliers regarding all designs and changes
  • Proactively communicate changes and updates internally and with our partners

 Qualifications:

  • Relevant design degree is valued
  • Experience (5+years) from other retail brands is highly appreciated
  • Being proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and the Office package
  • Good Norwegian and English communication skills
  • Proven track record of identifying trends and delivering results
  • Strong technical and production expertise
  • Good understanding of the industry
  • Experience from team leadership valued

  • Being creative and having the ability to understand the brands vision and direction
  • Have a strong work capacity, being able to work in a fast-paced environment
