In collaboration with SmartCity Bærum and Bærum Municipality Waste and Recycling, we have carried out a pilot project for collecting our used and damaged clothing. The clothes are to be deposited in recycling containers marked with stickers from us featuring the campaign. The collected clothing will be used in the elective redesign course at Hundsund School, Fornebu.
The project is based on a new requirement for municipalities, effective
January 1, 2025, to implement a source-sorting solution for textile waste from households. The pilot project aims to encourage climate-smart consumption and contribute to a circular economy through reuse and redesign.
You can find the recycling containers here:

Clothes worth wearing, are worth repairing!
We at ella&il have a strong focus on ensuring that the garments we make last as long as possible. That is why the qualities we use in our collections are so extremely important. At the same time, we know that clothes get worn over time and/or need adaptation during the course of life.
As part of our sustainability efforts, we are also proud to participate in a pilot project for textile recycling and redesign, promoting a circular economy and reducing waste.
